About the Capital One Bowl
The Capital One Bowl is an annual college football game played in Orlando, Florida, and previously known as the Tangerine Bowl (1947-1982) and the Florida Citrus Bowl (1983-2002). It is sponsored by Capital One.
It has tie ins with the Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten and traditionally picks the runner-up from the Big Ten and one of the top few teams from the SEC to compete in the game.
The 1973 game was played at Gainesville, Florida.
Florida Citrus Sports announced that game tickets for both the 60th Annual Capital One Bowl and the 16th Annual Champs Sports Bowl are now on sale. Tickets may be purchased at any Ticketmaster outlet, at the TD Waterhouse Centre, by phone (407.839.3900) or on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
Capital One Bowl tickets are $60 if purchased before Nov. 1 and $70 on or after that date. Military personnel (active or reserve) may purchase up to six tickets for $55 with ID.
